Free dino dance & yoga brain breaks for your classroom
Get the whole class moving in one minute: copy the dino's dance moves, or hold a yoga pose with Stretchosaurus. It runs in the browser on your class screen, with nothing to install.
- ✅ Free, with no ads and nothing to buy
- ✅ No logins and no student accounts
- ✅ No student data: no names, emails or photos collected
- ✅ The camera never leaves your computer: body tracking runs on the device and the picture is never uploaded
Two ways to use it
📺 Follow-along, no camera
Open the follow-along mode, pick a dino and press Let's dance! A dino bot dances on the screen and the whole class copies the dino in the Do this box. Nothing uses the camera, so it works anywhere.
📷 With the camera
One student at a time stands about 2 metres (6 feet) in front of the webcam and gets scored, while the rest of the class dances along. Take turns being the "dino leader" and see who gets a 🥇 gold medal.
Quick start
- Open saurusverse.com on the computer connected to your projector or class TV. Chrome, Edge or Safari work best.
- The first visit asks for a birth year: enter your own. Players type a nickname, so never use students' real names.
- Pick a dino dancer and press Let's dance! Each song is about a minute, so it's an easy brain break between lessons.
Using the camera? Press 📷 Camera check first to see what the webcam sees, and make space so arms can swing freely.
Ideas for class
- Brain break: one song between lessons to wake everyone up.
- PE warm-up: play two or three songs in a row; switch to Hard for faster moves.
- Calm down: after break, hold a Stretchosaurus yoga pose like Dino Tree or Star Dino together.
- Indoor recess: rainy-day dance party, with a different dino leader each song.
- Daily Dance: a new dance every day, the same for everyone in the world. Make it your morning routine.
- Make your own dance: the class designs a routine together and dances it.
Privacy and safety
- Body tracking runs entirely on your computer. The camera picture is never uploaded, stored or recorded by us.
- Score cards and dance videos don't include the camera picture unless you switch on "Show me".
- We only count anonymous events, like "a game was played", to improve the game, and you can turn that off with "Don't count me" on the home screen.
- Make sure there's clear space and a non-slippery floor, and only do moves and holds that feel comfortable.
